The name matters to us: founder Brendan Bezuko is obsessed with snowboarding and learned to ride at a young age at Marmot Basin, a local Alberta ski hill that still holds a special place for him—so when it came time to put a name on the company, Marmot felt like the right way to carry that connection and passion into the work we do.

Hello, my name is Brendan. I'm a passionate developer who wants to help local business thrive online. Most recently I worked as a full stack developer at a U.S. healthcare startup, shipping Django and React systems integrated with Google Cloud serving thousands of patients across the US. I'm passionate about helping local businesses thrive online. I have a computer science background from the University of Victoria and also briefly studied electrical engineering at the University of Alberta. I started programming and freelancing in 2015 and have built and maintained sites of all kinds—including JavaScript, React, Vue, Next.js, Nuxt, WordPress, and builders like Wix and Squarespace—that have served thousands of visitors.
