Marmot Marketing
Custom websites are designed and developed from the ground up to perfectly match your brand identity, business needs, and specific requirements. From concept to launch, we create a website that stands out from the competition and delivers exceptional user experiences that drive real business results. AI-accelerated development keeps the build free—you only pay for ongoing maintenance, hosting, and your domain.
Every custom website is one-of-a-kind, designed specifically for your brand without templates or limitations. We create a distinctive visual identity that captures your business personality and resonates with your target audience.
Implement custom features, integrations, and functionality tailored to your specific business needs. Our modern frameworks allow for powerful integrations with payment systems, booking platforms, CRMs, and any other tools your business relies on.
Custom code means faster load times, better SEO, and improved user experience. Our proprietary framework loads in 500-900 milliseconds compared to template sites that take 3-5 seconds. This speed advantage directly impacts search rankings and conversion rates.

There is no fee to build your website. We harness AI across design, development, and content to keep build time low, so both basic and customized websites start at $0 upfront. You pay for maintenance (see below), plus the real cost of hosting and your domain.
The build covers website design, implementation, and any consulting or project management your site requires. Separate fees may apply for photos, logos, and other digital assets; active SEO work (keyword research and content creation); and other add-on services.
Our websites are highly efficient and incur minimal hosting expenses. Websites experiencing high traffic will be subject to charges based on the fees of the chosen hosting provider, along with a modest administration fee of 5%. We recommend hosting with Google or Amazon as our preferred hosting providers.
We also recommend exploring different hosting providers' fees for your understanding. Some websites will qualify for a free tier and incur no hosting fees.
Additionally, other hosted services such as a CMS (content management system), email hosting, analytics, a CDN (content delivery network), and other add-ons may incur additional hosting fees.
Most of our customers are able to take advantage of a free tier on any of these platforms.
For any third-party extensions and integrations such as mailing services, Square, Shopify, Jane App, integrated payment gateways, chat bots, etc., additional fees may apply. The cost of these services varies based on the specific requirements, company, and functionalities needed for your website. We charge our clients the actual cost of the extensions, plus a 5% administration fee. You may also have the option to manage the extensions yourself, in which case there is no cost.
While we have a large collection of licensed stock assets that we use for our customers' websites without any additional charges, sometimes we need to hire or outsource photographers or a professional logo designer. There is no fee for connecting our clients with other professionals. If you want us to facilitate, we charge a small administration fee. You are free to provide your own images as well.
Basic websites. Maintenance is kept deliberately affordable. They focus mainly on what keeps your site safe and stable: security-related updates, dependency and patch cycles, and light housekeeping so your stack does not fall behind.
Custom websites. The same security-first baseline applies, but ongoing work can also include modernization and improvement: performance tuning, UX refinements, framework or integration upgrades, and other enhancements scoped to your roadmap and priorities.
Because the build is free, maintenance is where we earn our keep. Maintenance is billed at a flat $30 CAD per hour, and the scope depends on how your site is built.
Both our basic and customized websites offer a free custom domain registration including WHOIS privacy that protects your identity. You can expect no fees for the first year for .com domains. Other domains, including .ca, .net, etc., may vary.
The domain system works by charging everyone with a domain (e.g. example.com, example.ca, example.net) two fees on an annual basis:

WHOIS privacy fee
WHOIS privacy redacts your personal information for privacy. It is essential to keeping your personal information safe from scammers. Read more here.
We charge our customers approximately $30 per year for the .com renewal and $50 for .ca domain renewals (other domains may vary). This takes the stress away from management and assures you that you will never lose your domain or leak private information. Losing a domain can be irreversible or cost thousands of dollars.
Perfect for businesses that need unique features, complex functionality, or want to create a distinctive online presence.
